About Outrigger Connection
Outrigger
Connection was born out of the passion for paddling. Karel Tresnak,
a two-time world champion whitewater kayaker and former Olympian for
Czechoslovakia began manufacturing fiberglass and composite products
in Kailua, Hawaii in 1988. His goal was to build the fastest and highest
quality canoes on the water. He brought together world-class outrigger
paddlers such as Todd Bradley, Walter Guild and more recently his son
Karel Jr., to paddle his boats in every imaginable condition possible
so that he could refine each boat to perfection. The first solo outrigger
Karel designed was the Arrow, followed by the Arrow II, the Thunder
Viper, the Viper Duo, the Gator, the Axis and
the already classic Stingray. Each design was
revolutionary in its time. Outrigger Connection is not only on the
leading edge of solo outrigger design but also produces the fastest
OC-6 on the market today - the Mirage.
There
has been tremendous growth in the demand for quality outrigger canoes
around the world in recent years. In 2001, Karel and Todd Bradley started
Outrigger Connection Worldwide. They partnered with renowned sea kayak
and surf ski manufacturer, Current
Designs, to build and distribute Outrigger Connection boats throughout
North America. The advanced composite technology used at Current Designs
allows them to build the highest quality outriggers possible.
In North America, Outrigger Connection OC-1's
and OC-2's are available through a qualified
dealer network.
